For a Moment
During our stay at Divide Lake (Located in Tombstone Territorial Park, Yukon), we spent a significant amount of time scouting for potential places to photograph from. On one of our early days of our 8 day backpacking trip, we hiked far down the lakeshore from the campground we were staying at to find more potential of the area. Although it was only meant to be for finding future images, I came across this scene and composition. It was very cloudy, rainy, and misty, but I decided to setup my camera and go through my creative process. I found this composition, and just for a moment the sun had broken through, creating beautiful and dappled light on the mountain and water and then it was gone just as quickly. It was fast enough that of all the shots I took that day, there was only a single image that showed the light breaking through.
