Incising the Monolith
This is a section of the narrows in Zion National Park that I haven’t seen photographed before (To the best of my knowledge). As I came across the beauty of this glowing area of the canyon, I jumped into the water to find a suitable foreground. These cascades are a few feet tall relative to where I was standing, and both me and my camera came out completely drenched after capturing this.
Typically in order to get interesting water cascades, you have to get very close to them, which means that you are constantly cleaning tens or hundreds of beads of water off the lens from one shot to the next. I think the end result is worth the difficulty.
