One of the wonderful things about this famous Japanese maple tree from Portland, Oregon is the range of color it provides. We visited this tree multiple times, and every time it provided different colors and conditions from the previous day. Similar to images of this tree by Peter Lik, I wanted to showcase the full spectrum of color that this tree can produce, while giving a different perspective and composition that includes the way the leaves wrap around at the base of it’s canopy.
