We hiked an entire day to get access to the wilderness areas that surround Fitzroy mountain. After an incredibly early wake up time, we hiked 2 hours in the dark over 8 foot boulders, an 80 foot high rock climb/scramble, crossed a river, and gained access high among the forests to be here. The morning sun, still below the horizon, created unbelievable red and pink colors that filtered through slots in the clouds to create a line of light appearing on the face of fitzroy mountain – and I gladly took a shot of a place I will never forget.
