Wonder of Moonlight
An image I have been attempting to capture for many years now. When temperatures get low enough, the warm water of the bow river in contrast with outside temps will create huge vertical columns of mist. Taken very early morning, the rising sun begins to create a bit of alpine glow on the mountains, while the moon is low on the horizon creating incredible warm colors as it is setting. I have a special affinity for moon images, and in this instance, there are many conditions that have to come together to make it possible – not to mention that the moon alignment here may only happen once or twice a year to create this effect on the river.
