A week long trip exploring Washington and Oregon, filled with exploring waterfalls and lush temperate rainforests. After an evening of camping in one of the incredible forests on offer, we headed out to this special spot called “Falls Creek Falls” in Washington. We weren’t quite sure how long the trail was going into the hike, but it took us much longer than anticipated. The light was beautiful when we arrived and spent awhile at one of the viewing platforms. After soaking it all in, we did a scramble hike through the forest in order to get to this location. I balanced precariously on one of the massive fallen trees spanning this huge area in order to capture the water flowing under around me, which is what you see here.
