A stunning display of sunset light at the Hidden Lake overlook point in Glacier National Park. I’ve had a lot of trips to Glacier National Park, but the fun thing is finding different conditions every time you go. In 2025 we found some variations of wildflowers that I haven’t seen at the park before, which really set the mood for all of the blues and purples found in this photograph. The sharp cloud in the top left corner seemed to mimic the shape of the main peak, and in my opinion, really added to the scene. We also had so many mountain goats approach us while hiking and photographing, certainly more than I have ever experienced, and it made for an even more interesting few hours hanging out here when they seemingly walk right up to you.
