An exceptional display of lupine flowers growing in a meadow at Mount Rainier national park. The lupine blooms at Mount Rainier aren’t a yearly known, and I’ve heard that they are few and far between. The last time I was in this area, there were a few small areas of growth, but nothing in enough numbers to bother photographing. This year all of the flower growth I have been accustomed to were out of season, but this incredible area of lupine growth had just hit it’s stride and was looking incredible. The first few days of this photography trip included very heavy cloud cover and cold temperatures, but we got very lucky this sunset to have the sun poke through the clouds and light up this meadow and trees in perfect conditions.
